On Wednesday, 6th July, 2016, CG Abdullah joins Eid-ul Fitr Prayer with over 2000 Muslim communities at the Tionko Football Field in Matina Bucana, Davao City.
There are more Muslims who joined the celebration of Eid’l Fitr than last year. Participants came from various parts of the country and from Germany.
The celebration started with an open prayer at 7 a.m. and ended with parlor games for the young Muslims. Eid al-Fitr is an annual celebration to end the season of Ramadan and the beginning of the month Syawal.
In line with this, President Rodrigo R. Duterte declared 6th July, 2016 as non-working holiday in honor of the Muslims in the country.
