On Friday, 4th March, 2016, CG Abdullah joins Honorary Consul of Palau Hon. Puyod visit to Philfresh pineapple farm in Tupi, South Cotabato. Joining the visit were Philippine Fresh Fruits (Davao) Corporation Senior Operations Manager Teodoro H. Garsuta, Operations Manager Juren P. Ylanan and Export Manager Karl John Noblefranca.
Philfresh is a Filipino company producing high quality cavendish bananas and pineapple for export. Owned and managed by the Puyod family, the banana plantations are located in the provinces of Davao del Norte and Lasang-Davao City. While the pineapple plantation is locate in the province of South Cotabato. Having been in the banana business for more than three decades, Philfresh has wide level of expertise to ensure quality and efficiency from planting to harvesting to packaging.
Philfresh bananas are shipped to countries such as Japan, the Middle East, New Zealand, South Korea, and China. The banana boxes are packed according to the specifications of the buyers: regular hands, clusters, small hands, and special products. Market visits to customers from other countries are done, and the customers also visit the various company farms and packing plants.
There is a promising opportunity for international banana trade, and the company is expanding its plantation areas to be able to produce more fruits for the growing market. Its collaboration with international marketing partners, financial institutions, land owners and local farmers makes it possible to expand its operations to serve the market.
