CG ABDULLAH JOINS THE 10TH SESSION OF THE TFNET BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING IN DAVAO CITY

On 2nd September, 2016, CG Abdullah joins the 10th Session of the TFNet Board of Trustees Meeting in Davao City.

 

In attendance from Malaysia were YBhg. Datuk Haji Samsolbari Jamali Chairman of Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board,  Mr. Sahdan Salim Director General of Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board, Mr. Mohd Salehhuddin Hassan Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Mohd Desa Hj Hassim CEO International Tropical Fruits Network, Dr. Jamaliah binti Laham Director of Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board, Mr. Amhaarizal bin Mohd Amin   Special Officer to DG of Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board, Mr. Ahmad Bakhtiar Ahmad Ridzuan Special Officer to the Chairman of Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board.

 

The International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet), the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industry, Philippines (BPI), and the PhilFruits Association, Inc. (PFA) are jointly organizing the International Symposium on Tropical Fruits: Towards Sustainable Fruit Production and Global Food Security (ISTF2016) on 29 August-03 September 2016 in Davao City, Philippines.

 

The symposium aims to discuss different sustainable fruit production techniques that would help ensure global food security. The latest advances in research and development and policy making will also be discussed. Moreover, the symposium will provide the latest information to improve the knowledge of participants and stakeholders.

 

The highlights of the symposium include plenary sessions, technical papers, poster exhibits, and a field trip. We are cordially inviting researchers, growers, policy makers, traders, associations, institutions, and students to attend the symposium.
