CG ABDULLAH MET BARTER TRADE TRADERS AND HALAL PRODUCTS IMPORTERS FROM TAWI-TAWI AND SULTAN KUDARAT IN DAVAO CITY

On Thursday, 9th June, 2016, CG Abdullah met Barter Trade traders and Halal products importers from Tawi-Tawi and Sultan Kudarat at Chancery in Davao City. The meeting discussed on the difficulties faced by the Barter Trade traders due to suspension of trade between Sabah and the Southern Philippines. The group appealed to the Malaysian Government to re-open and resume trade as many local residents suffered due to the short supply and rising prices of basic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, gas etc. The group planned to organize the 1st Mindanao Halal Business Council Induction and Forum with at least 60 provincial traders to discuss this issue on Sunday, 17th July, 2016 at Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

 

In attendance were Soekarno Bong Mohammed from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. Hamid R. Rajakahar from Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, Nasrael Daud Tayuan and Hermie Ferolino from Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.
