CG ABDULLAH MET DOH ASSISTANT SECRETARY IN DAVAO CITY

On Friday, 8th July, 2016, CG Abdullah met Department of Health Assistant Secretary Dr. Abdullah Dumama at his office in Davao City. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss on the preparation for the visit by Al-Basar International Foundation Medical Doctors from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia to conduct free screening, cataract operations and distribute free spectacles for 5,000 – 10,000 Mindanaoans. In attendance during the meeting was President of Mercy Islamic Foundation Sheikh Mohamed Habeb Al Khulaqi.

 

Al-Basar International Foundation is a non-profitable, non-political, international NGO, registered in many countries of Asia and Africa as well as in UK Charity Commission, London to work in the field of prevention and eradication/controlling of blindness & blinding diseases. The mission of Al-Basar is to eliminate the main avoidable & treatable causes of blindness and to give all those needlessly blind people in the world – a right to sight.

 

Al-Basar International Foundation is yet to conduct medical mission in Malaysia. However, the Foundation Executive Director Dr. Fareed Al-Yagout (graduated from University Science of Malaysia with Master and PhD) had shown interest to establish collaboration with Mercy Malaysia in August, 2016.
