CG ABDULLAH MET ICRC MEDICAL DOCTOR IN DAVAO CITY

On Friday, 20th May, 2016, CG Abdullah met ICRC Medical Doctor Ms. Mercedes del Pilar Suarez De Aquiz at Chancery in Davao City.

 

The purpose of the meeting is to seek advice and guidance on health facilities in Davao City. Dr. Mercedes is conducting an assessment of health facilities in Davao City. The objective is to help the ICRC to evaluate its internal institutional policies in regard to staff health.

 

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial and dependent humanitarian organization that works to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence. The ICRC has been working in the Philippines for more than 50 years. In promote respect for International humanitarian law, and respond to emergencies, often in cooperation with its local partner, the Philippine Red Cross.

 

In the past, ICRC has been working closely and cooperate with the Consulate’s during the Typhoon Pablo and Typhoon Haiyan by providing inputs, situation reports and assessments.
