On Tuesday, 24th May, 2016, CG Abdullah met Mindanao State University (MSU System) Professor Paladan Badron at Chancery in Davao City.
The purpose of the meeting is to seek information on Malaysia’s federal system and related publication materials from Malaysia.
Secondly, is to discuss collaboration on Islamic and Malay studies/education linkages between MSU - Darul Quran JAKIM and MSU - Pertubuhan Tahfiz Ar Rahmah Kuala Trengganu.

The Federalism resolution was initially introduced by Senate Minority Leader Aquilino "Nene" Q. Pimentel, Jr. (PDP-Laban) in 2008 during President Arroyo term. Under the 63-page resolution, Pimentel proposed the creation of 11 federal states out of the existing political subdivisions of the country, and one federal administrative region. However, the proposal was suspended due to impeachment of President Arroyo.
