CG ABDULLAH MET PRESIDENT OF TAGUM CITY COUNCIL OF WOMEN IN DAVAO CITY

On Tuesday, 17th May, 2016, CG Abdullah met Ma. Alma L. Uy, President of Tagum City Council of Women in Davao City. She was the Philippine Official Entry to the 2015 ASEAN Business Award (Women Leader of the Year) on 20 November, 2015 in Kuala Lumpur.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss on the proposal on MTCP Livelihood Skills that will be implemented for Bangsamoro women and youth in July, 2016.

The Tagum City Council of Women was registered on August 2, 2000 under sec no. D200000600. Currently, the council has 14,500 members. The Tagum City Council of Women aims for a vibrant society where in women and girls have the opportunity to thrive and lead meaningful lives. Its mission is to promote the total well-being of women and their families by providing services in:

  • Health
  • Socio-economic and Livelihood
  • Education and Training
  • Anti-Violence against women and children
  • Environment and Sanitation
  • General Membership
