On 29th January, 2016, Consul General Abdullah attended Mindanao Islamic Chamber of Commerce Inc. in Davao City. At the meeting, Consul General Abdullah was invited to deliver Keynote Address and update status on bilateral relations between Malaysia and the Philippines.
Notable personalities present were Deputy Mayor of Maranao Hon. Randy Usman, Deputy Mayor of Kagan Hon. Nicanor B. Mohammad, Vice Deputy Mayor of Maranao Nur Umpar, Davao City Councilor Hon. Dayanghirang, MICCI President Abdul Samad Pangandaman (MTCP Alumni member), MICCI Secretary Marilou Ampuan (MTCP Alumni member), MICCI Treasurer Farida and Sultan Bob M. Datimbang.
The meeting also discussed matters on MICCI Permit, Orientation and Benefits of MICCI memberships, MICCI Secretariat, Dakwah Forum, New Account Update, Davao Halal Industry Development Council, Invitation from Mindanao Business Council, Department of Agriculture Halal Project, Universal Islamic Center Halal Expo proposal, pledge of support for Mayor Duterte for President 2016 and preparation for incoming President election.
At least 80 Muslim members, businessmen, traders and sidewalks vendors attended the meeting.
