On 13 February 2023, Consul General Deddy paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Al David Torres Uy, Mayor of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). CG Deddy was accompanied by officials from the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila and Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City. The delegation also visited some of the tourist attractions in Samal Island.
