On 21st January, 2016, Consul General Abdullah met Vice Deputy Mayor of Maranao Tribe Hon. Nur Umpar at Chancery in Davao City. The purpose of the meeting is discuss on the proposed list of participants for the MTCP Course “Managing Challenges to Nation-Building: Sharing The Malaysian Experience” for the leaders of Mindanao.
Since 2001, INPUMA, University of Malaya has organized many MTCP program over the years. The abovementioned course had been offered to the Philippines for two consecutive years (2013-2014). In July, 2015, INPUMA had submitted 5 proposals to the MTCP Secretariat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia for MTCP 2016, including a revised training program of the abovementioned program.
INPUMA hopes to attract participants from the ARMM, Manila and other parts of the Philippines to learn from the development experiences and successes of Malaysia.
Comment:
INPUMA has successful impart useful knowledge to the ARMM participants by our highly experienced speakers. Some of the participant even replicated the Malaysian development model for their local socio-economic development program.
