In observance of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Consul General, accompanied by Vice Consul, has undertaken a series of visits to ten mosques around Davao City. He also visited the Davao City prison.
During these visits, the Consul General took the opportunity to get acquinted with the Muslim Community leaders as well as the jemaah. He also handed over a sack of rice to each of the mosque for Iftar preparations. In the evening, he joined them for Iftar and Terawikh.
The Consul also visited Davao City prison where he handed over two sacks of rice to the Muslim inmates of about 180 persons. In his short remarks to the inmates, he advised them to think positive and be productive after serving their sentences.
