During his visit to Cotabato City to welcome HE Minister of Defense Malaysia and HE the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines for the working visit of the Minister to Cotabato City recently, the Consul General took the opportunity to call on Hon. Japal Guiani Jr., Mayor of Cotabato City, Hon. Muslimin Sema, Vice Mayor of Cotabato City and Mr. Daligdig Tanan Datu, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Office Department of Foreign Affairs respectively, on 9 August 2010.
At these three meetings, both sides discussed issues of common interests such as the peace process in Mindanao, economic livelihood
of the people in Cotabato and cooperation in human resources development through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). The series of meetings have enabled the Consul General to get acquainted with the important personalities in Cotabato City.
