On Friday, 1st August, 2014, Consul General Abdullah participated in the Cultural Night organized by the students of the St. Alphonsus Theological and Mission Institute (SATMI) (consortium with the Ateneo de Davao University). The Cultural Night aimed to foster mutual understanding among Muslims and Christians and showcasing the multi-cultural students performing songs and dances from various countries of Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and also Sri Lanka and Fiji.
The Cultural Night began with Asian cuisine dinner followed by the students and the Kaliwat Theatre Collective performed songs and dances of the respective foreign countries.
