DEPUTY CHIEF OF MISSION WORKING VISIT TO DAVAO CITY

On Friday, 1st Syawal 1439 – 15th June, 2018; Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Rizany Irwan Muhamad Mazlan arrived in Davao City International Airport via Philippine Airlines (PAL) to start the Official Visit to Davao City and to celebrate the Eid ul Fitr with Davao City HBS.

 

On Saturday, 16th June, 2018; DCM attended the PA to Consul, Mr. Sobri Daud’s Eid ul Fitr Open House in Woodridge Park Ma-a. DCM met with Mr. C. K. Chang whom had been doing business in Mindanao for more than 30 years. On the same occasion, DCM met with 3 Malaysian stranded in Davao City to get their in-depth statement on the case that is now being registered against them in Davao City Court by the Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. DCM assured the 3 on both the Malaysian Embassy and the office of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City continuous effort and assistance to solve the case as soon as possible.

 

On the same day; DCM and the PA to the Consul General attended the Official Eid ul Fitr Dinner hosted by H.E. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte at SMX Lanang Premier, SM Lanang. The event was a closed invitation where several distinguished guests, among others were the Ambassador of Brunei, the Ambassador of Pakistan, the Ambassador of Oman, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia attended the event.

 

On Sunday, 17th June, 2018; DCM attended the Eid ul Fitr open house of the PA to the Consul General, Ahmad Sharizal bin Abdull Seliban that were also attended by several foreign guest including the President of Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mustafa Gun. DCM was impressed with the spirit of family bonding shared among HBS and LRS staff in the Consulate General Office, together celebrating the Eid ul Fitr in Davao City.

 

          On Monday, 18th June, 2018; DCM visited the new office of the Consulate General of Malaysia. The Consulate General of Malaysia office was relocated to the new location in Buhangin area on March, 2018. On the same day, DCM met with Halal Consultant and Tourism key player, Mdm Marilou Ampuan together with Mdm Marinell Malorca, the owner of Tinhat Hotel in Davao City. On the same meeting, Mdm Marinell expressed her intention to join the Malaysian my Second Home program (MM2H) and to move to Malaysia along with her family.

 

DCM then departed back to Manila on 10:40 pm via PAL.
