On Tuesday, 29th July, 2014, Consul General Abdullah participated in the Eidl Fitr Festival ribbon cutting ceremony organized by SM City Davao. The Festival aimed at showcasing the Philippines Muslim cultural heritage through food, garments, dance, music, arts, crafts and craftsmanship. The occasion was graced by the Hon. Al Ryan Alejandre, representing Davao City Mayor, Mall Manager Ms. Lynette Lope and Consul General Abdullah.
Brass and wood antique collections were on display along with the vibrant men’s and women’s formals, hijabs, saris, authentic Maranao and Maguindanaoan textiles. SM Supermarket also highlighted some of their Halal products. The exhibition ran until 31 July, 2014.
