The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) is proud to announce the holding of the Global Halal Summit (GHaS) from 18 to 19 September 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with World Halal Week. With the theme "Propelling Communities Towards Halal Excellence," this summit aims to foster collaboration, encourage innovation and drivel gobal halal practices to new heights.
GHaS wil feature key programmes, including the 14th Halal Certification Bodies Convention (HCBC) and the International Halal Technical Capacity Development Programme (IHTCDP). These initiatives aim to enchance the capabilities of Halal Cerfication Bodies (HCBs) by improving their understanding of JAKIM's certification schemes and developig strategies tailored to their needs. The IHTCDP will focus on the operational standard of slaughterhouse, Malaysia's import requirements, and provide valuable insights on Shariah audit compliance.
