On 9th October, 2014, Consul General Abdullah met Mrs. Joji Ilagan Bian, Founding Chair MinTVET and Ms. Nicole Ilagan Bian, Committee Chair MinTVET at Chancery in Davao City. The meeting was held in conjunction with the upcoming first BIMP-EAGA Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Leaders Forum at Seda Abreeza Hotel, Davao City on 22 October, 2014.
This forum will gather key leaders of TVET institutions among the BIMP-EAGA member countries, serving as a venue to come up with a common understanding of the TVET landscape and to foster joint undertakings to develop the TVET sectors through various collaborative efforts such as student/teacher exchange, benchmarking and exchange of best practices among others.
This forum is an initiative of the Mindanao TVET Association (MinTVET) in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Mindanao.
