On March 9, 2010, Consul General Mohammad Azhar Mazlan officiated a briefing presentation of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) on the 7th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2010 to a group of business people and government officials of Mindanao at the Waterfront Insular Hotel, Davao City.
The briefing was conducted by Mr. Mohamad Kamarudin Hassan, MATRADE Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Development), Kuala Lumpur assisted by Mr. Arieff Aaron Abdullah, MATRADE Office, Manila and Mr. Kamal Ariffin from MIHAS Secretariat. Its purpose was to promote the annual Halal trade fair dedicated to bring together the world’s goods, products and services that are halal-complaint to the relevant bodies and industrial players in Mindanao, particularly those in the halal-based market. This year’s MIHAS will be held at MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 23-27 June 2010.
