On 25 August 2025, Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh joined the wrath-laying ceremony in commemoration of National Heroes Day, a tribute to honour the bravery, patriotism and sacrifices of Filipino heroes, both known and unknown, who fought for the nation's freedom and independence. The ceremony was held at Osmena Park, Davao City.
