Consul General of Malaysia, Mr Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, signed the Book of Condolence in honour of the late His Excellency Try Sutrisno, the 6th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City on 03 March 2026.
The solemn gesture was undertaken as a mark of respect and solidarity with the Government and people of the Republic of Indonesia following the passing of a distinguished statesman who devoted decades of service to his nation. H.E. Try Sutrisno is remembered for his steadfast commitment to the stability and development of Indonesia, and for his contributions during a formative period in the country’s modern political history.
In conveying his condolences, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh reaffirmed Malaysia’s deep sympathy to the bereaved family as well as to the Government and people of Indonesia. The occasion also reflected the enduring bonds of fraternity and close cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia, founded upon shared history, cultural affinity, and a common aspiration for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Malaysia stands in solidarity with Indonesia during this moment of mourning and honours the legacy of His Excellency Try Sutrisno, whose service and dedication to his country will be long remembered.
