The Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City conveys its profound condolences on the passing of the late His Excellency Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, who passed away on 14 April 2025. Tun Abdullah will remembered with enduring respect for his principled leadership, humility and unwavering service to the nation. His legacy as a statesman of integrity and compassion continues to resonate deeply within Malaysia and beyond.
In honour of his life and contributions, a Book of Condolences was opened at the Consulate General on 16 April 2025, from 10.00am to 03.00pm, to allow members of consular corps, officials and friends of Malaysia to pay their respects. The Consulate General extends its sincere appreciation to members of the consular corps community for their kind messages of sympathy and solidarity during this period of national mourning.
