25 May 2024 – Ahead of the upcoming Kaamatan and Gawai (annual harvest) festivals, the Malaysian diaspora in Timor-Leste got together to mark the occasion at an event organised by the Embassy of Malaysia at Timor Lodge Hotel and Residences. Held for the first time by the Embassy, the event kicked off with a movie screening before a hi-tea of Malaysian delicacies. Together with the Dili Chapter - Ladies Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia; attendees also performed the traditional Sumazau dance.
