Arrival of the new Malaysian FPU in Timor Leste. The new batch of the Malaysian Formed Police Unit (FPU) arrived in Dili at 9.20 a.m. this morning. The new FPU from the North Brigade will be replacing the Sabah Brigade which has already served in Timor Leste for the past 6 months. Also in the special flight were 22 members of the Malaysian United Nations Police (UNPOL) who will be replacing the existing UNPOL officers who have served in Dili for the last 12 months.
