7 August 2023 - His Excellency Ambassador Amarjit Sarjit Singh paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste at the latter's office. During the call, both sides exchanged insights and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the bilateral relations by exploring areas of mutual interest. Both side also took the opportunity to discuss aspects of sustainable cooperation in capacity building and other opportunities between Malaysia and Timor-Leste. H.E. Amarjit emphasized that Malaysia remains committed to enhancing good cooperation with the 9th Constitutional Government of Timor-Leste.
