HAND OVER OF ASSETS BY THE MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT TO THE GOVERNMENT OF DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF TIMOR LESTE

As an act of solidarity and friendship between the Governments of Malaysia and Timor Leste, the former has extended 28 of its vehicles, formerly owned by the Malaysian Formed Police Unit (MALFPU) serving under the UN during its mission to assist in the maintenance of peace and order in Timor Leste.  The handing over ceremony took place on 7 November 2012 by the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Timor Leste to Mr. Antonio Frietas, Director-General of Police Analysis and Research of the Ministry of Finance of Timor Leste.  It was witnessed by YBhg. Dato' Sri Salleh Mat Rasid, Director of Internal Security and Public Order of PDRM and Mdm. Evangelina Guterres, Director of Asset Management, Ministry of Finance of Timor Leste
