On 30 March 2016, the Malaysian Ladies Association in Dili (PERWAKILAN) held “Malaysian Kitchen” Food Promotion Activity at the Palm Beach Hotel. The event was attended by 60 local people in Timor-Leste. The event was initiated by H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Chitra Devi Ramiah to introduce and promote Malaysian food among Timorese as well as to promote Malaysia as a tourist destination. Apart from that, the event was organised to welcome Timorese to experience Malaysian food, culture and atmosphere. During the event, guests were served with various famous Malay cuisines such as Nasi putih, Daging Sambal Hijau, Ayam Lemak Cili Api, Udang Goreng Kunyit, Telur Dadar  and Sayuran campur.  Few desserts were prepared like kuih kaswi, kek pisang and dadih with corn and strawberry flavour.
