28 January 2024 - H.E. Amarjit Sarjit Singh hosted a networking dinner with alumni and stakeholders of Timor-Leste at the El Legendario Restaurant in Dili. Present during the event were Mr. Novie Bin Tajuddin, CEO of Education Malaysia Global Service (EMGS), Mr. Julio Aparicio, Executive Director of Human Capital Development Fund (FDCH), Dr. João Saldanha, President and Founder of the Joao Saldanha University/Institution (JSU/I), Dr. Saturnino B. Saldanha, Orthopedic Surgeon of the Timor-Leste National Hospital (HNGV) (alumnus of University Kebangsaan Malaysia), Malaysia University representatives, and a total of 25 others alumni from various Malaysia higher institutions.
The networking dinner was aimed at strengthening the bonds within the alumni community, building a new network and opportunities among the attendees. Malaysia is committed to continue in supporting Timor-Leste in the area of education and capacity building.
