Friday, 11 September 2020 – The Malaysian Embassy in Dili organized a ‘get-together function’ with Malaysians residing in Timor-Leste at the Embassy’s premise. It was also an event to commemorate the National Day and Hari Malaysia. About 70 Malaysians were present at the event which started with the singing of national anthem Negaraku. During the gathering, the Embassy took the opportunity to apprise the attendees of the latest information pertaining to Consular services and current rules and procedures related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Embassy also made announcement about a special flight organised in collaboration with Air Timor to help repatriate stranded Malaysians home, scheduled on 26 September 2020. The guests were served with Malaysian style food prepared by Officers and Staff of the Embassy.
