Wednesday, 10 July 2019, - With the conclusion of the volunteering work by the Malaysian Youth Volunteering Program MyCorps@AsiaTenggara mission 1/2019 in Timor-Leste, the ten (10) Malaysian youth participants made their presentation on the outcome of their activities at the Embassy of Malaysia in Dili. The participants who come from various background, were placed in two Timor-Leste’s Municipalities namely Viqueque and Dili, where they carried out social projects together with the local communities for two months beginning from 16 May 2019 until 15 July 2019. The presentation session was attended by H.E. Ambassador Sarimah Akbar, a 3-member delegation from the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia (KBS) led by Mr. Junaid Izuddin Bin Abdul Aziz, Senior Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports. Also present were representatives from various directorates of Timorese Government namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; Directorates-General for Corporates Service of Education, Youth and Sports; Director-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry; Director-General of Environment; National Directorate for Youth; and Director-General of Secretary of State of Equality and Inclusion. This three-hour presentation was followed by dinner hosted by Mr Junaid at the Ocean View Restaurant of Bebonuk, Dili Timor-Leste.
