SOFT LAUNCHING OF HERA MARINE TERMINAL

Malaysia's Ambassador to Timor Leste, H.E. Tajul Aman Mohammad was invited by Mr. Francisco Monteiro, President and CEO of Timor Gap to attend the soft-launching ceremony of Hera Marine Terminal Facility and the mooring of the Malaysian oil tanker MT. Budi Mesra, owned by Global Carrier Berhad, a Malaysian company.  The ceremony was held on 9 May 2013 in Hera.  It was graced by the presence of H.E. Fernando La Sama de Araujo, Vice Prime Minister of Timor Leste, H.E. Alfredo Pires, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and H.E. Gastao Francisco de Sousa, Minister of Public Works as well as senior officials from the government and representatives from Timor Gap, Global Carrier Berhad and PT. Isar Multi Guna.

 

Hera Marine Terminal is a Built-Operate-Transfer facility built by PT. Isar Multi Guna on behalf of Timor Gap.  It is capable of storing a maximum of 20,000 kiloliters of oil products and is strategically located at a deep water access of Hera bay, east of Dili.  Both Global Carrier Berhad and PT. Isar Multi Guna have become two important partners of Timor Gap with their investments and services provided for the operation of Hera Marine Terminal.
