28 January 2024 - Six renowned Malaysian universities are participating at the inaugural Study in Malaysia Fair organised by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), and the Embassy of Malaysia at Timor Lodge Hotel and Residence in Dili . The six universities are:
1. Asia Pacific University (APU);
2. Management & Science University (MSU);
3. Taylor’s University;
4. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM);
5. Universiti Malaysia Sabah University; and
6. Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
At the opening ceremony of the one-day fair, EMGS Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) Mr. Novie Tajuddin delivered opening remarks, while Malaysian Ambassador Amarjit Sarjit Singh officiated at the event. While in Dili, EMGS also engaged with the Timorese Ministry of Higher Education and Science, local universities and other stake holders.
EMGS is Malaysia’s One-Stop Centre for international students proceeding to Malaysia for tertiary education. Aside from processing necessary approvals, EMGS is also mandated to promote Malaysian tertiary education, and collaboration between foreign and Malaysian universities. Comprising of state universities, home-grown private universities, and branch campuses of renowned foreign universities, Malaysia currently hosts some 150,000 foreign students and aspires to be regional hub for tertiary education, offering highly marketable qualifications at reasonable cost, and without compromise on quality.
