On 17 July 2015, H.E. Amb. Tajul Mohammad, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor-Leste hosted the tradition at Open House to celebrate the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan and to welcome the Aidilfitri on 17 July 2015. The event was attended by his diplomatic colleagues from other Embassies in Dili, Malaysians and local friends.
Guests were served with the various Malaysian cuisines and traditional delicacies. Among the favourite home-made menu offered were beef and chicken rendang, ketupat, serunding, laksa Penang, laksa Johor, Nasi Tomato as well as traditional Malay desserts (buah melaka, roti jala, kueh bakar, agar-agar merah and popiah goreng) . More than 50 guests joined in the Open House Aidilfitri’s festivity.
