The Embassy of Malaysia in Dili collaborated with Air Timor to facilitate a special flight to repatriate 14 Malaysians home on Saturday, 3 October 2020. The flight also benefitted 84 other people of various citizenship who would transit at KLIA before continuing their journey to their respective final destinations. The flight, which was operated by Air Asia departed Dili at 1330hr (Timor-Leste time) and had safely landed in Kuala Lumpur at 1630 hr (Malaysia time).
The Embassy wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Timor-Leste namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; the Ministry of Transport and its Agency AACTL; the Ministry of Health; and the Immigration and Custom Department of Dili International Airport for their hard work and contributions to materialise this effort.
