Monday, 4 March 2019 – The Timor Leste Government has launched the Timor Leste ASEAN Mobilization Programme (TLAMP) which is a blue print document outlining programs and initiatives for the succession of Timor Leste into ASEAN. The document identified key ministries and activities to kick start programs under three ASEAN pillars namely politic and security; economy and socio-culture. The event was attended by different segments of crowd namely from politicians; members of diplomatic corps; representatives from international and business organisations; analysts and media practitioners. It was officiated by HE Dr Jose Ramos Horta, former President of Timor Leste. The residing ASEAN Ambassadors from Brunei Darussalam; Malaysia; Indonesia; Thailand and Philippines were invited on stage for ASEAN custom traditional hand shake photo opportunity.
