Monday, 11 - 13 March 2019 – A recce team from the Secretariat of the Malaysian Youth Volunteering Program (MyCorps), Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS) headed by Ms. Hartini A. Jabbar visited Timor Leste on 11 – 13 March 2019. MyCorps is a youth volunteering placement program initiated by KBS aiming to provide support and assistance in the area of community development, social, healthcare, education, socio-economy and other areas that deemed necessary in selected developing countries. Apart from visiting the Embassy, the team hold meetings with National Directorate of Youth; Non-Government Organisations (NGO) namely Bairo Pite Clinic, Comoro Children and Youth Centre Foundation (CCYCF), Moris Rasik; Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi and SOLS 24/7 Timor Leste; as well as a site visit to Viqueque Municipality to scout for the placement suitability of Malaysian youth volunteers in Timor Leste for their upcoming project.
