On 20 March 2013, the Ambassador of Malaysia, H.E. Tajul Aman Mohamad was invited by the Malaysian-Timorese joint venture aviation services company, MHS-GAP Aviation TL (LDA) to visit its office and hangar at Dili’s Nicolau Lobato International Airport. During the visit, Chief Pilot Capt. Abdul Gaffar Rahman and Ms. Diana Choo, HR and Finance Manager of MHS-GAP Aviation (TL) Lda made a briefing on the history, mission and responsibilities of their company.
As previously stated, MHS-GAP Aviation (TL) Lda is a joint venture company between the government of Timor Leste and MHS Aviation Bhd. Its main task is to provide oil and gas helicopter services in Timor Leste and the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA). It has won international contracts for providing helicopter services to the offshore operations of Kitan Project in the JPDA in Timor Sea.
After the briefing session, Amb. Tajul and his entourage were taken for a tour around hangar and was introduced to the other officers and staff of MHS-GAP Aviation. For the visit, the Malaysian Ambassador was joined by spouse, Puan Norfiza Yaacob and Embassy officials.
