The Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations, New York had received 29 students and 2 teachers from Liceo Galilei School, Italy on 7 March 2019.
The students will be representing Malaysia at the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) to take place this week in New York, USA.
At the briefing session, the students had the opportunity to learn more about Malaysia’s foreign policy as well as our work at the United Nations.
Furthermore, the students were very much interested to know more about Malaysia’s initiatives in enhancing education to all, health-related issues such as programmes to tackle suicide attempts, the handling of our refugees crisis as well as combating terrorism.
Additionally, the students also learnt Malaysia’s influential role in various international bodies namely the UN, ASEAN, OIC, NAM and South-South Cooperation.
