14th ECA INTERNATIONAL FAIR, CARACAS, 17 MARCH 2007 Escuela Campo Alegre (ECA) organized the 14th ECA International Fair on 17 March 2007 involving various embassies. The Malaysian Embassy set up a booth selling Malaysian traditional items like handicrafts, souvenirs, bags, scarf and etc. Mee goreng (fried noodles), nasi goreng (fried rice) and cookies were also on deal. The booth was beautifully decorated with a Malaysian traditional touch blended together with the cordiality of the Malaysian diplomats who bade their guest with warm and amicable taste. International tunes floated in the air while students displayed an array of foreign dance, cuisine and dress at the main pavilion. Stalls representing 40 embassies filled the perimeter of the pavilion and people of different ages and nationalities crowded around them to get a taste of what the International Bazaar had to offer. Most embassies sold traditional food and displayed native crafts and artifacts of their countries. Some diplomat families’ members presented cultural show such as dancing and singing. Students from different countries displayed traditional costume and narrated verses in their own language in a parade of nations.
