Caracas, 18 June 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Caracas supported students from Santa Maria University in representing Malaysia during the 22nd edition of the university’s annual Model of Diplomatic Representation Programme. The event gave students the chance to act as diplomats and promote the foreign policies, culture, economy, and heritage of their assigned countries.
This was the fourth time Malawakil Caracas participated in the programme, reflecting the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to youth outreach and academic diplomacy. The event also saw the involvement of several other embassies, including those of Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad and Tobago, and South Africa. It attracted strong interest from students, lecturers, business representatives, and members of the public.
To help the students present Malaysia effectively, the Embassy provided updated information on Malaysia’s foreign policy, economy, tourism, and cultural diversity. Talking points and reference materials were also shared to support their presentations and discussions throughout the event.
The Malaysian booth showcased traditional dishes, including teh tarik, keropok, kuih lapis, and karipap, offering visitors a taste of Malaysia’s culinary heritage. The food drew many guests and sparked conversations about Malaysia’s multicultural society and international presence.
The Embassy’s participation in this programme provided a valuable opportunity to connect with young people and promote a better understanding of Malaysia. Malawakil Caracas remains committed to supporting activities that strengthen friendship and cultural ties between Malaysia and Venezuela.
