Ambassador Ramlan Kimin hosted a Hari Raya Open House at his Apartment on Saturday, 13 October 2007 at 12.00 noon. His guests were all Home-based Staff (Encik Selvaraj Ramasamy – Second Secretary; Encik Mohd. Yusof Ahmad – Third Secretary and Puan Shahrulbariah A. Rashid – PA to Ambassador) and their respective wife; husband and children; all Locally-Recruited Staff (LRS) with their respective wife; husband and children as well as the only two Malaysians working in Caracas with their respective wife and children. On Sunday, 14 October 2007, Encik Mohd. Yusof Ahmad, Third Secretary, took his turn by organizing a similar Hari Raya Open House at his Apartment at 12.00 noon. Puan Shahrulbariah Rashid, PA to Ambassador, also had her fair share by organizing another Hari Raya Open House on Saturday, 20 October 2007, at 12.00 noon, at her Apartment. Despite the non-existence of Malaysian food supply in Caracas, the Ambassador however, managed to use his creativity to prepare typical Malaysian food normally served during Hari Raya celebration, such as Nasi Impit with Rendang Ayam and Sayur Lodeh; Mee Hoon with Sea Food and Beef Curry; Soto Ayam with Nasi Impit and Mee Hoon; and Ice Cream Pudding. Well….they were not quite as original as what the Ambassador would have wanted them to be, but they were quite close enough to what we all could have had in Malaysia. As for Encik Mohd Yusof Ahmad, he and his wife too were able to come up with delicious Malaysian food such as among others, Satay Ayam with Nasi Impit and Peanut Sauce; Rendang Ayam; Lemang; Gulai Daging Kambing; Tauhu Sumbat; Mee Goreng; etc. We were also all excited to see what were served on the dining table at Puan Shahrulbariah’s home. Nasi Biryani with Sweet and Sour Chicken, Dalca Kambing and Rendang Daging; Laksa Penang; and Mee Soup, to name a few. “CELEBRACIÓN Cuatro puede parecer De hecho, el Embajador Ramlan Kimin celebró una “Open House“ en su apartamento el sábado 13 de octubre de 2007 al mediodía. Rashid, Asistente Personal del Embajador) y sus respectivos conyugues y hijos; todo el personal local de la Embajada y sus respectivos conyugues e hijos como también dos malasios que trabajan en Caracas con sus respectivas esposas e hijos. El Domingo, 14 de octubre de 2007, Mr. Mohd Yusof Ahmad, Tercer Secretario también organizo un “Open House” para celebrar el Hari Raya Aidfiltri en su apartamento al mediodía. La Sra. Shahrulbariah Rashid, Asistente Personal del Embaajdor, también tuvo su oportunidad de celébralo organizando otro “Open House” el sábado 20 de octubre de 2007 al mediodía en su apartamento. El Sr. Mohd Yusof Ahmad y su esposa también prepararon una deliciosa comida típica de Malasia como Satay Ayam con Nasi Impit y sala de maní, Rendang Ayam; Lemang; Gulai Daging Kambing; Tauhu Sumbat; Mee Goreng; etc. También fue muy emocionante ver lo que se ofreció en casa de la Señora Shahrulbariah. Nasi Biryani con pollo dulce agro, Dalca Kambing y Rendag Daging; Laksa Nota: Hari Raya Puasa / Hari Raya Aidfiltri El Hari Raya Puasa también se conoce Esta festividad marca la culminación “Open House” Un concepto muy típico de Malasia durante estas festividades religiosas es el “Open House” o “Casa Abierta”, donde las familias abren las puertas de sus casas a amigos de otras razas y religiones para compartir la alegría y las celebraciones.
A pesar que no existe productos de Malasia en Caracas, el Embajador sin embargo, pudo usar su creatividad en preparar platos típicos de Malasia que normalmente se sirven durante la Celebración del Hari Raya, tal como el Nasi Impit con Rendang Ayam y Sayer Lodeh, fideos (Mee Hoon) con mariscos y carne con curry; Soto Ayam con Nasi Impit y Mee Hoon; Torta de Helado. Bueno…. Realmente no fueron tan originales
