H.E. Elias Jaua Milano, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela invited all the resident Heads of Mission in Caracas on 3 March 2013 to an exhibition and performance by Venezuela’s “Corpus Christi Dancing Devils”. This dance group has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage. The event was co-ordinated by the Minister’s wife Mrs. Natacha Castillo de Jaua, with invitations extended to spouses of Heads of Missions in Caracas.
This event marked the launch of a new cultural initiative by the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs whereby foreign missions will be invited to showcase their culture. This initiative would enable closer understanding of cultural traditions between Venezuela and other countries represented in Caracas.
