The Embassy of Malaysia organized the first-ever ASEAN +3 Bowling Competition in Caracas on 11 February 2012 at StrikeXity Bowl, located at the Sambil shopping mall.
A total of 42 participants and eight teams from the Embassies of the People´s Republic of China, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia (including Petronas), the Republic of Philippines and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, participated in this bowling competition. The contest was held for the team as well as individual categories. The ¨Kaibigan¨ (Friend) team of the embassy of the Republic of Philippines won the Challenge Trophy in the team category. In the men´s individual category, the winner was Mr Zheng Jie from the Embassy of the People´s Republic of China. In the women category, Mrs Noor Asiah Salleh from the Embassy of Malaysia won the title, followed by Miss Erma Rheindrayani from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.
The participants enjoyed the opportunity to get to know colleagues from other ASEAN+3 missions and expressed the desire to hold another get together soon.
