An ASEAN Film Festival was held in Caracas from 13 - 21 June 2013 at the Cinemateca CELARG movie theatre. This Festival was a joint initiative of the ASEAN resident embassies in Caracas, namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam in collaboration with the Venezuelan Ministry of Culture.
The three countries participated with a total of eight films, with original-language audio and Spanish subtitles. In the case of Malaysia, the featured films provided by FINAS Malaysia were Bunohan and Misteri Jalan Lama.
