A total of 52 participants from the ASEAN Embassies namely Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia plus ASEAN Dialogue Partners such as India, Japan and Republic of Korea participated in the bowling tournament held on 4 May 2013 at the Concresa Bowling Centre in Caracas. This event organized by the Embassy of Malaysia for the second consecutive year, was open to the staff and family members of the above embassies.
A special invitation was sent to invite several participants from the Asia, Middle East and Oceania Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela. H.E. Mr David Velasquez, Vice Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with his children also attended to give support to this event.
The bowling alley was booked exclusively for the bowling tournament which was highly appreciated by all participants. In addition there were songs specially selected from all participating countries with special hits which were easily recognizable and linked to each country. H.E. Mr Velasquez was invited at the end of the event to present trophies to the winners from the different categories.
