AMBASSADOR RAMLAN KIMIN ATTENDED A CONCERT IN CONJUNCTION OF THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE CREATION OF THE PENITENTIARY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (ORQUESTA SINFóNICA PENITENCIARIA) OF VENEZUELA, WEDNESDAY, 29 JULY 2009
At the invitation of the Ministry of Interior and Justice of Venezuela, H.E. Ambassador Ramlan Kimin attended a Concert, in conjunction of the Second Anniversary of the Creation of the Penitentiary Symphony Orchestra (Orquesta Sinfónica Penitenciaria) of Venezuela, which was held at the Teresa Carreño Theatre, in Caracas, on Wednesday, 29 July 2009, at 1700 hours. Accompanying him was Mr. Tito Ocando, Consular Clerk of the Embassy.
The Penitentiary Symphony Orchestra which groups musicians and choir singers from four different Penitentiary Centers throughout the country i.e. Penitentiary Center of Andina Region (CPRA); National Institute of Feminine Orientation (INOF); Penitentiary Center of the West (CPO); and Penitentiary Center of Carabobo (CPMC), performed several classical pieces such “La Gran Puerta de Kiev” by M. Moussorsgky; “Danza Rusa” by R. Daly; “Gloria” by A. Vivaldi; “Himno a la Alegria” by L. van Beethoven; “Cabello Viejo: by Simón Diaz; and “Gavilán Tocuyano” by Pablo Canela; to name a few. Officially opened by H.E. Tarek El Aissami, Minister of Interior and Justice of Venezuela, the Concert drew a huge crowd of approximately two thousand spectators.
On Malaysian part, four of the five girls currently at the National Institute of Feminine Orientation (INOF), in Los Teques, Venezuela, did their part, either by playing violin, cello, percussion or by singing in the choir group during the Concert. It was thus a good opportunity for the Ambassador to meet with these Malaysian girls.

Por invitación del Ministerio de Interior y Justicia, Su Excelentísimo Embajador Ramlan Kimin estuvo presente en el concierto, y además de la celebración del segundo aniversario de la creación de la orquesta sinfónica penitenciaria de Venezuela, que se llevó a cabo en el Teatro Teresa Carreño de Caracas, este Miércoles 29 de Julio de 2009, a las 1700 horas, y quien fue acompañado del Sr. Tito Ocando, Secretario Consular de la Embajada.
La Orquesta Sinfónica Penitenciaria la cual agrupa músicos y cantantes de coros de cuatro diferentes centros penitenciarios del país, de la región Andina (CPRA); del Instituto Nacional de Orientación Femenina (INOF), Centro Penitenciario del Occidente (CPO); y del Centro Penitenciario de Carabobo (CPMC), quienes en su conjunto tocaron varias piezas clásicas como por ejemplo, La Puerta de Kiev., de M. Moussorsgky; Danza Rusa, de R. Daly; Golria, de A. Vivaldi; Himno a la Alegría, de L. Van Bethoven; Caballo Viejo, de Simón Díaz, y Gavilan Tocuyano, de Pablo Canela, por mencionar unos cuantos maestros. Este concierto fue aperturado oficialmente por el Excelentísimo Ministro de Interior y Justicia de Venezuela, Tarek El Aissami, el concierto atrajo mucha gente, aproximadamente dos mil espectadores.
Por parte de Malasia, cuatro de las cinco reclusas que actualmente están en el Instituto Nacional De Orientación femenina en los Teques, tuvieron su participación, unas tocando el violín, cello, percusión o cantando en el coro durante el concierto. Realmente fue una gran oportunidad para el Embajador poder conocer estas chicas de Malasia.
