EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA, CARACAS, PARTICIPATED IN THE 16TH ECA INTERNATIONAL FAIR, SATURDAY, 28 MARCH 2009
The Embassy of Malaysia in Caracas once again participated in the “Escuela Campo Alegre” (ECA) International Fair that took place on Saturday, 28 March 2009, together with various other foreign Embassies in Caracas.
All HBS and LRS of the Embassy, joined forces in setting up a stall selling Malaysian traditional items like handicrafts, souvenirs, batik dresses and scarf, etc. The two-member Perwakilan Caracas, Puan Rozie Johari and Puan Shahrulbariah Rashid, assisted by an LRS of the Embassy, Mrs. Celsa Bermudez Leon, on their part, also joined forces in preparing Malaysian cuisines such as “Mee Kari”, “Nasi Tomato” “Teh Tarik” and several other savories, to be sold at the Fair. The stall was beautifully decorated with a Malaysian traditional touch blended together with the cordiality of the Malaysian diplomats and the LRS of the Embassy, all in Batik shirts and dresses, who bade their guests with warm and amicable taste.
At the Fair, international tunes floated in the air while students and their parents displayed an array of their respective traditional costumes and dances at the main pavilion. Stalls representing 40 embassies filled the perimeter of the pavilion and people of different ages and nationalities crowded around them to get a taste of what the International Bazaar had to offer. Most embassies sold traditional food and displayed native crafts and artifacts of their countries.
Together with other Embassies, all HBS, their spouses and children, as well as the LRS of the Malaysian Embassy also took part in the Parade, the highlight of the event.
EMBAJADA DE MALASIA, CARACAS, PARTICIPÓ EN LA 16ª FERIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA ECA, SÁBADO, 28 DE MARZO 2009
La Embajada de Malasia en Caracas, una vez más, participó en la Feria Internacional de la Escuela Campo Alegre (ECA), que tuvo lugar el sábado, 28 de marzo de 2009, junto con varias otras embajadas en Caracas.
Todo el personal Diplomático y Local de la Embajada unieron sus fuerzas en la preparación para el stand donde se vendieron artículos tradicionales como artesanías, recuerdos, vestidos de batik y bufanda, etc. Las dos Damas de Malasia (Perwakilan Caracas), Sra. Rozie Johari y Sra. Shahrulbariah Rashid, asistida por una empleada local de la Embajada, la Sra. Celsa Bermúdez León, por su parte, también se unieron en la preparación de platos típicos de Malasia como "Mee Kari", "Tomate Nasi", "Té Tarik" y otros suculentos platos, para ser vendidos en la Feria. El stand fue bellamente decorado con un toque tradicional de Malasia y junto a la cordialidad de los Diplomáticos de Malasia y el Personal Local de la Embajada, en camisas y vestidos de batik, atendieron a los invitados muy calurosamente.
En la Feria, la música internacional flotaba en el aire mientras que los estudiantes y sus padres desfilaban sus trajes y bailaban danzas tradicionales en el pabellón principal. Más de 40 Stand llenó el perímetro del pabellón y muchas personas de diferentes edades y nacionalidades fueron al Bazar Internacional para ver que ofrecía. La mayoría de las embajadas vendieron comida tradicional y muestra de artesanía de sus países.
Junto con otras embajadas, todo el personal Diplomático y el Personal Local de la Embajada de Malasia, con sus cónyuges e hijos, participaron en el Desfile, el momento cumbre del evento.
