On 1st November 2011, Ambassador Mahinder visited the state of Sucre where he was greeted by the Governor, Senor Enrique Maestre and his spouse at the office of the Governor. The Governor in his remarks informed of the historical importance of Sucre and the prospects of the development of the gas industry which would help in bringing a higher standard of living for the population in Sucre.
In the afternoon, Ambassador Mahinder visited the museum where a school orchestra played the national anthems of both countries. He was then treated to an official lunch by the governor and his spouse.
