The Ambassador of Malaysia in Caracas, H.E. Mahinder Singh, made a visit to Maracaibo on 29 August 2014 to meet up with Malaysians in the state of Zulia. The small group of Malaysians, who have been residing there for more than a decade are involved in the making of confectionary and specialised beverages. The programme in Maracaibo included a luncheon hosted by Ambassador and a meeting with the Maracaibo Chamber of Commerce. The Ambassador also took the opportunity to visit the Governor of Zulia's office where he was taken on a tour of an exhibition depicting the life of former president Hugo Chavez and a meeting with the officials from the Governor's Office.
