On 18 July 2015, Ambassador Mahinder Singh hosted the Aidilfitri Open House at the official residence from 12.00 pm to celebrate the joyous festivity with the few Malaysians, Heads of Mission from Muslim countries and friends of Malaysia in Venezuela. A group of Malaysian Tabligh who were in Venezuela also invited to join the event. The guests were served with a variety of Malaysian food included nasi minyak, rendang chicken, fried bihun, roti canai, ketupat, bubur kacang, jemput-jemput pisang and teh tarik which were prepared with the assistance of the Embassy’s staff.
